Topic tags/keywords: hand planes sale

Saw this ad on Kijiji a few days ago;

I emailed asking for pics, here is the response:

“i have about 10 #78’s—can be changed from rabbot to bullnosed rabbot.
A record #405 in oak box complete,mint with 28 blades and book.—1877 stanley circular with flexable shoe—
Marples &sons t&g with brass inlay—no 48 stanley t&g—corrugated—about 100 wood moulding planes.
Also have about 200 OLD rules—squares—levels,etc not included in price”

If I wasn’t an 18 hour drive from TO I’d check it out, but without some solid evidence that this is the world’s most awesome plane collection, I’m not about to go that distance. Might be worth taking a look at though if you are close to Toronto.
