My wife and I bought a new house and though we haven’t moved in yet, I knew I would get a large (compared to my current 100 square feet of shared garage space) dedicated space for a proper shop. Since that day, I’ve been on a mission to find some great deals on CL to outfit my shop with proper tools instead of the portable models I’ve been relying on. Shopping on CL has allowed me to get a pretty decent shop together for about 1/3 of what it would have cost me new and lets me replace my inadequate benchtop tools. I was lucky to have a handful of cash on hand because I had just sold a dirt bike. I WAS planning on buying another dirt bike to replace it, but I still have 2 others so it was a nice opportunity to spend on some new (to me) tools!

Ridgid R4511 Granite table saw
Ridgid EB4424 OSS
Freud FT1702VCEK 2-1⁄4 HP Router with fixed and plunge bases
Jet JJ-6CSX 6” jointer (older blue paint, but good condition)
Jet JWBS-14CS 14” 1HP bandsaw (older blue paint, needs a little work)

Then I went to Harbor and got their dust collector and workbench each on sale plus 20% coupon.
The last tool I need is a good thickness planer and I’m scouring CL daily, but since Home Depot takes HF coupons, I’m really leaning towards getting the Ridgid R4330 brand new since it will only be a few bucks more than most folks are asking for their used ones. I’ve considered getting a used “starter” unit 2 blade planer for around $100-150 but feel like I’d want to upgrade later, so jumping right to a new 3 blade unit.
