Topic tags/keywords: willow

I was recently in a hilly area with many brooks, along which grow many big willows (no weeping willow). I could easily cut some, but they can use to turn some items from them ?

I had a burl from a wild willow tree, it cracked into oblivion before I could use it. It seemed that it was so full of water that there wasn’t much room for wood, lol. I’ve only seen one thread about anyone using willow, and at that time someone said they were poisonous to work with… I can’t remember if it was a specific willow or willow in general; if you do work with it I’d recommend making sure of that first.
