Topic tags/keywords: question

I was wondering if there could be a new selection for when you go to add a project.

There is selections for bed bench bowl box cabinet carving chair chest clock frame furniture jig pen plane table toy tray workbench

As you can see, there are 7 different types of furniture along with a FURNITURE tag.

I would like to see a tag for ARTWORK

There are a LOT of things on this site that just don’t fit into any of the normal categories. Not just turnings either. How about INTARSIA or SCROLL WORK also _FRETWORKthere are many more.

What about it? Am I the only one around here that thinks a LOT of the stuff on this site is made just to be artwork? Not a table not a picture not a bowl, just ART.

Please leave all comments.

Thanks
Scrappy

That sounds like it might fit a lot of what we see. Personally, I forget to use a category when I post a project. Does that make it so it can’t be found if you don’t use a catigory?

Just leave the comments for the different topics. I’m sure that Martin, Debby, etc., will accommodate. Good recommendations, Scrappy! The more tags the better, to help isolate(sort)/find different items.

Jim, You can still find the project but, if you are searching for say….bowls….it will only bring it up if it is tagged with bowls.

I don’t think you could ever list all the possible tags. That is why there is a box above the list of tags so you can put whatever tag you want. In fact when you click on the “bowl” tag it automatically types bowl in the box for you.
Now on the subject of using tags I see many projects not tagged at all. I wish all would tag as it does make finding things easier. Although I am sure there are some on here with no idea of what a tag is.
