Topic tags/keywords: question plane chisel blade

This brand of sand paper is the one I have been using for scary sharpening for quite a while and until now I was satisfied with it.
This morning, as I was ready to order more of this sand paper , I read about scary sharpening on this site:
http://primeshop.com/access/woodwork/scarysharp/.
and I read this :
CAUTION: The much-vaunted Klingspor self-adhesive roll SiC paper is useless for this, as its backside layer of adhesive is uncontrolled with huge variations in thickness. Avoid it.

What is your opinion/experience with this sand paper?
Thank you.

I can’t answer your question, Bert, but thank you for asking it and the link – very, very useful! I’ll be interested to read what the experts here say.

I just contacted Klinspor, asking them the question:
I have been using your sand paper for scary sharpening for quite a while and I am very satisfied with it but this morning I read this:

How well do you control the thickness of the adhesive film?
What to have to say about this comment?
Thank you.
Bert

Let’s wait for their reply.
