Here in Canada the “woodworking show season” is about to begin again.

Anyone planning to attend one?

Rick and I like going to the ones in our area: Woodstock, Kitchener, and Hamilton (<—love the airplane museum)

Hmmm seems the wood working circuit will be missing Manitoba again this fall :-(

You should contact Paul Fulcher – he’s coordinating the Ottawa show this year. He might be able to help you out to get one in your region. One never knows!

(I’m sure Paul will thank me for making the suggestion hehe)

Well there is one show that usually comes in the Spring and I believe Canadian Woodworking is (was?) involved in that. When I lived in Winnipeg I checked it out, it was very small but maybe has gotten bigger since then. I also wasn’t as involved with wood working then so I probably missed some good opportunities. Thank you for the contact info.

Mark is right about the Trade Shows skipping Winnipeg. They are probably not well-attended here. The hands-on demonstrations are not that good, the seminars uninspired, and the tools priced above local retail. Plus, the $18 to attend, $11 for parking, hmmm I think I’d rather relax in my recliner with a few good woodworking books and catalogs instead. I didn’t attend the last two shows.

I live in Thunder Bay, and as much as I dream about any sort of show coming here, about the only thing that passes through town here you need penicillin to get rid of…

Geeze Rob..
That’s hardly P.C.

Snork.. P/K.. You’re probably right..we don’t get those sort of trade shows here at all, more home shows, pay here pay here and oh, pay to GET IN TO BUY.. And then there aren’t any specials on youre latest variant on a shower head, rather a Premium price..

Sigh..
