Delta/Homecraft 34-500 Parts/Advice

I was able to pick up a “good” condition 34-500 with some surface rust on the table and most other surfaces. The bearings are good and when i swapped out the blade it cuts like a champ. My concern is that it doesn’t have the blade guard or belt guard. I’m careful but having learned table saw safety the hard way I know that thay I can’t be too careful. Would love to see if anyone knows of a source for either of these items.

I’ll be posting pics once it’s cleaned up and looking better.

IIRC the 34-500 is the 8”? Most of the info will be available on owwm.com and in the discussion group at owwm.org. If its parts you are after check out the BOYD listing on the .org site. Any questions feel free to drop me a PM

Thanks for pointing me toward the BOYD. I’m familiar with OWWM but not the BOYD I’ll keep searching there. I’ve seen some ideas for spliters and guards but thought it would be good to get the real thing. I lost an index finger about 10 years ago to a Table saw without a guard. I wasn’t careless and was using safety equipment, so with this being the first foray back into a table saw I want to try to make thins as safe as possible..
