I’m in the market for a new BS. Just sold a MM16. Does anyone have the laguna machine here that can offer some advise. Thanks Chris

Have you looked at the Aggazani? I know, the Northfield large re-saw is unsurpassed, but it’s a gozillion dollars.

Aggazani has made all of their machines heavier and larger.
What they did was to take the table trunnion motor and other hardware from the next size up and migrate it down to the next smaller. so the new B-20 has the stuff from the B-24 etc.

From what I know about Laguna and MM the MM16 was more like a gold standard than the Laguna so you might be trading down.

Give Jesse at Eagle tools a call and he’ll give you a wealth of information, pictures, and such.

As an aside dealing with Eagle has been a very pleasant experience. Jesse has addressed every single concern I have raised, post sale, even when it cost him money. Jesse is also an expert on the machines he sells and does a complete work over of every machine they ship before it ships.

Laguna’s customer service is pretty much non existent after the transaction.
Pre-transaction is not much better. Ask the sales rep some serious technical questions like about the bearings what class they are, what size they are, etc. Then, when he falls down, ask him to open a technical manual, Then, when he falls down, ask him to put you in contact with a technical rep some one in service.
Then when he falls down the third time ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
