Topic tags/keywords: question bandsaw resaw

I’m trying to decide between two resaw blade options. They’ll be used on a Delta 14” bandsaw with a riser; a good deal of the resawing will be on hardwood.

One option is a carbide 5/8” blade, 3 tpi, sold by Lee Valley. They tell me it’s made by SuperCut in the U.S. It appears to be Supercut’s WoodSaver Carbide Resaw blade. (Lee Valley carries Viking blades but only up to 1/2”; I’ve read that Viking is the same as Timber Wolf in the US. )

The other option is a locally welded blade from bulk stock from Morse. A nearby firm that specializes in saws and saw sharpening said they could make up a blade.

Does anyone have experience with SuperCut or Morse resaw blades?

I use woodslicer blades to resaw my oak and cedar.
