I just saw a preview of a new show called “Woodworking Together”. It is slated to air on PBS in 2008. The host, Gail O’Rourke, seems to know what she is talking about. I do however think she wasn’t chosen as the host just on her knowledge. You can see wat I am talking about on Google Video. Now My wife is really going to be jealous of me spending all my time watching woodworking shows. -- What would Marc do? |

Interesting find MD. It look like it could be a good show. I bet there will be many jealous wives when their husbands start watching PBS all of a sudden. -- Bill, Turlock California, http://www.brookswoodworks.com |

Please let me introduce you to Gail. http://www.hometownwoodworking.com/ She forked up the $$$ herself for the show preview. She was TV producer turned cabinet maker. And she does have the skills!! She is lucky enough to turn her love of WW into a business and now maybe a TV show. I’ve known Gail thru another WW forum for about 2 years. She is quite the WWer. -- Jimmy |

Thanks for that insight Jimmy… all the more reason to tune in. PBS has all but replaced cable for us lately (which is good cause we gave up the higher channels… Fortunately, I don’t think PBS will keep me out of the shop quite the same way that TLC, Discovery and Food Network did. But all these new online resoureces (new to me anyhow) The Woodwhisperer and Woodworking channel, etc… (anthing that I can’t listen to on the ipod while working/driving) may just keep me a little less sawdusty. -- I am always doing what I cannot do yet, in order to learn how to do it. - Pablo Picasso -- http://blanchardcreative.etsy.com -- http://snbcreative.wordpress.com/ |

Yes Jimmy, Mark DeCou has stated that the traffic on his web site jumped when he started putting his web address in the postings of LumberJocks. -- What happens in the workshop stays in the workshop. No wait that doesn't sound right. Karson Southern Delaware karson_morrison@bigfoot.com † |

The traffic to my website also jumped when I started posting here. Also, the search engines now find my web site, where they did not before. -- Bill, Turlock California, http://www.brookswoodworks.com |
