Every time I see a photo of the slabs you cut, it makes me want to work some mesquite! I’ve still got enough mesquite to carve two stocks. These slabs look great and someday they are going to make something beautiful. I don’t have mesquite or Texas ebony growing around here, but… I cut a beautiful walnut log yesterday…

Hal, did you get that last piece I sent out to our friend in common? It needed a little drying time but it was a one solid piece withe figured grains.
