I know what you mean. I had really planned to get into the shop with my grandsons this summer but it has been so hot here that I just sit inside and look out. I have only mowed the lawn 2 times this summer! and it doesn’t need mowing now. Here, the heat index is within a couple of degrees of the actual temp. It will cool in awhile. Remember that the temp is always the same. Every year the average temp is the same within a degree or so. That means if we have a summer like this then we will have a winter that makes it average. Hang on.

I feel your pain and am in a similar boat… My wacked schedule appears to run until November… I guess this just helps us appreciate what little time we do get in our shops. BTW I have a new Grizzly jointer in my shop calling to me… still…

I hear you, man. It’s really made me reorder my priorities…i’ll be doing the shop rewire and organization much sooner than later, with additional steps of insulation and an AC installation. As a school teacher, it’s frustrating to have these summers off (as much as you can be off with three young kids) and have to come back into the house every hour to cool down.
