Topic tags/keywords: delta sander oscillating

Picked up a new toy last night, a Detla 31-396 oscillating belt sander. 3hp, 108” belt. Unit is clean and runs perfect, but I’m having a problem with sanding belt alignment and I did not get a manual for it. The only manual I could find is a printed version and will take 7-10 days to get here and I’d like to get it sorted before then.

If anyone out there has experience with this model, could you offer a new some advice?

The sanding belt is rubbing on the belt cover, on both the top and bottom of the cover.

Also, anyone know the history of this machine? It’s hard to find info on it online which is odd.

You can also see look at the Grizzly G0564 which is white labeled out of the same factory. They are also a source for parts if Delta doesn’t have them in stock or is more expensive.

Thank you! I searched high and low for an online copy, no luck.

Notawhole lot in there about tracking adjustment but I’ll get it figured out.

Thanks again for the link
