Topic tags/keywords: question lathe

Can someone tell me what is the best thing to put on a lathe bed to take care of it? After a while the shavings and moving back and forth with the banjo and tailstock seems to be rubbing it someone.

Should I use some kind of wax?

I use past wax as well… I have a short piece of plywood I put over the bed if I am applying CA.

Wax is good. I also use Slipzit or some such spelling. I got it from Rocklers but others have it also. It is a wax type product. I use it on everything except my miter gauge. I made that mistake once.
