Any suggestions as to a suitable finish for a series of small collectable boxes? Should a guy finish the inside or leave it the natural cedar so the”smell will come thru ? Im open to all suggestions as my favorite finish so far is Danish wipe on oil. But Im not shure as to what it would look like on cedar – come on guys hold my hand and let me know what to do – lol !!!!

Shellac on the outside and if you want to seal the inside.
Don’t use an oil-based product on the inside. It will smell for a very long time and may never fully cure.

I just did a box made of cedar and redwood arhat I finished with paste wax. Looks great. I just finished the outside left the interior unfinished so if you want it to smell hit it with sand paper.
