While using my 22-580 planer, the feed rollers stopped feeding but the motor was still running. When I removed the belt cover, I found the belt frayed and broken. I ordered the delta part # 22-563 and replaced the belt. After putting everything back together and turning it on, the feed rollers still don’t move. Anybody have an idea on what else I need to do?

On the side opposite the belt there is a gear box, sprockets, and link chains. Look over there and you’ll find the problem. I’d guess that one of the sprockets broke.

Thank you so much. I’ll take a look on the other side.

and make sure you are “in gear” (there is “neutral” spot on the speed set lever). as I recall the instructions say only to change speeds when the machine is running.

Got it. When I opened up the other side, the sprockets and chains were all in place and looking good. I plugged it up, turned it on, reached around and changed speed. That was it. Apparently during the process of changing the belt, I moved that lever. Thank you so much for the help. You guys are the best!!
