Topic tags/keywords: tip question

I was looking for some advice for a project I am about to start. What I want to do is replace the dash and center console of my truck with real wood, along with the door panels. Not the whole things obviously just some really nice accents. I want to use a burl or figured wood. I realize that some people may think this is not a worth while project but I think it would look good and I want to do it. I am looking for suggestions of wood type and technique for shaping. I was also wondering if anyone has done this before?

While i cant make any suggestions, im just familiar enough with any of it, i think its a cool idea. Good luck, im gonna keep my eye on this thread. Type in “Oregon Burls” into the search menu, i cant remember the gentlmans name, but he would be the guy to talk to about burl wood.
