We’ve all seen ‘em some ratty dirty pick up with a rowdy looking person behind the wheel and on the trailer hitch – - – yep you guessed it – - – a pair of rubber testicle like things. Police issued a $445 ticket for a violation of the state’s obscene bumper sticker law While I think such displays are cheap, trashy, and make the driver look dumber than dirt, I can’t get to “obscene” over it. If it’s obscene then everybody with farm animals and dogs are all violating that statute. Cover your dog’s hiney, it might offend someone, somehow, somewhere. . -- When the moderator chooses sides, his site sucks. |

Hmmm…. you can burn our Flag but can’t hang some plastic bull testicles from you bumper. Am I the only one who sees something wrong here? -- Lew- Time traveler. Purveyor of the world's finest custom rolling pins! |

Freedom is never free. It comes part and parcel with responsibility. Though I believe he may have every RIGHT to hang the testicles off his truck, he should be responsible enough to know it’s a rather pointless and tasteless thing to do. These days, people think that freedom means that you can do whatever and however you may want, and f* the consequences. Anyone who truly lives like that has their days numbered. There’s ALWAYS consequences. |

Tacky, as the other half says. I think it’s silly, to the point where I’d like to hang a replica under my Toyota Corolla. But the innards would be about the size of your pinky nail. Silly, yes. When I take it to the dealer for work, the wrenches’ll get a good laugh, which would be my real intent. One set I did see that mocked the trucknutz well, was a pair of chrome hex nuts welded together (would have required 1-1/2” wrenches, at least), hanging from a chrome chain. Aside from the waste of chrome and a decent chain, they made a pretty good mocking statement, I thought. |

I have seen a few of those driving around. The farm kid in me wants to take ‘em off ;-)) Many people think we should be a classless society. I think we have arrived, no class at all!;-( -- "some old things are lovely, warm still with life ... of the forgotten men who made them." - D.H. Lawrence Wake Up America!! hahaha! Yeah, bobthefish, you are absolutely right! With the economy the way it is, idiots in Congress that cannot do their jobs and shipping all manufacturing overseas – what we gotta worry about is truck nutz! I love people who preface any rights restriction with “freedom doesn’t mean you can do whatever and however you want”. Just what the hell does it mean, then? As long as it doesn’t offend YOU?!? I have to wonder about federal prosecutors going after drug use in pro sports while the criminals that crashed the economy do not even catch a passing glance? Too bad they didn’t have Italian names! Their asses would be on the chopping block in short order;-)) -- "some old things are lovely, warm still with life ... of the forgotten men who made them." - D.H. Lawrence Wake Up America!! They are illegal here in Florida as well. They were a fairly common sight before they were outlawed, even on a few cars you wouldn’t expect to see them on, I don’t think the fine is as steep as what the OP posted though. -- “The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.” ― Franklin D. ”These days, people think that freedom means that you can do whatever and however you may want, and f+ the consequences. Anyone who truly lives like that has their days numbered. There’s ALWAYS consequences.” This kind of flies in the face of those same citizens who are ALSO screaming for ”SMALLER GOVERNMENT”. The law says, “parts of the human body”. So, let the orangutang balls hang! How about mandatory bumper stickers? The most well-known is probably NH’s “Live Free Or Die”:

I doubt there is a 13 year old in the country that would not know what they are prior to seeing them. 8 year old more likely to be a difficult discussion. -- We must guard our enthusiasm as we would our life - James Krenov |

EEngineer, Horizontal Mike: First of all, I’m NOT for a smaller government per se. I’m against a police state, but I don’t think that we have to get rid of government to prevent that from happening. Secondarily, if you were to step into a bar, walk up to the biggest guy in the place, call him a pansy ass, and then tried to punch him in the face, you’re saying there would be no consequences? Consequences to our actions are a fact of life mate. The government is what makes everyone “play nice”, rather than letting someone get carried away taking justice into their own hands. Hell, I wish the laws were removed that prevent me from pelting passing cars with rocks when they block my crosswalks to the point I would have to either walk through their passenger door, or walk out into oncoming traffic. Nail strips might be appropriate for the bastards that don’t even bother stopping. Trust me, in that incidence, I’d MUCH rather take the law into my own hands, and I guarantee that I’d get far better results. But the laws are in place to keep drivers “safe” from people like me who get pissed off at their lack of courtesy on the road. |
