At 9:00 this morning I received a telephone call from the president of Hammer Woodworking Machines USA to tell me I have won the $3,000 Austrian-made European-style Hammer K3 sliding-table table saw ( The saw is due to be delivered in two weeks.

I have Lumberjocks to thank for this as I read about the drawing in a post by “hellofawreck”.

Eat your heart out guys!

Congratulations. I entered as well because of the same post. Glad one of our own won.

I second the pics, but it’s no secret, I hate you.

Of course, I don’t know you so it will be tough to hate you for long. Enjoy!

Well congratulations! You’ll have to post back with updates once you receive it, assemble it, and start using it.

I’m not jealous or disappointed. I don’t ever win anything anyways. Somebody had to win it and it might as well have been you planeman. Congratulations on winning the saw and I hope it works out well for you.

Dammit, that was MY saw. Oh well, I didn’t have room for it anyway.

Congrats! Ditto on wanting to see the photos when you get it.

An update:

I thought I was going to get the $3,000 saw. I just received an e-mail from the president of Hammer Woodworking Machinery USA that I am mistaken. I will be receiving the $4,000 saw with all of the extensions and goodies! It just keeps getting better and better guys! This is the one:

Now the question is . . . where am I going to put this monster? Knock out a wall? Build an addition to the house? Lease a small warehouse?

I have already invited some friends over for a put-it-together party when it arrives in a couple of weeks. I will take photos and give a report here on Lumberjocks of the assembly and what I think of the saw.
