I recently discovered that I’m soon to be a grandpa for the first time. Having told my son and daughter-n- law that I would build their first crib when they decided to start a family, the time has come to do just that. I want to get started as soon as possible, so instead of taking the time to design a crib,we’ve decided to just go with ready-made plans. I’ve ordered the parts kit and the plans for the Wood Magazine’s 3 in 1 crib/bed ( after searching around on the internet, this seems to be the one plan that most woodworkers recommend), but I don’t have the plans yet and would really like to go ahead and order the wood also, but don’t know about how many board ft of wood Im going to need ( they want the wood to be walnut),so I was just wondering if any of you have built a crib from these plans and might could help me out on a bdf estimate. Any advice would be appreciated.
