Topic tags/keywords: jig carving tool lathe chisel sander turning

I was at the right place at the right time at this garage sale tool sale and I mean nothing but tools in that garage.
The gentleman that passed away had every kind of tools you could think of years of them built up in his big garage. The man that was selling these tools was very nice and just wanted to get rid of them as fast as he could. He had grouped a box of 10 tools in a big box for 10.00 and what I was wanting was the mini lathes in the box everything else was a bonus to me. I figured I got about 200.00 worth of tools if I had to go buy them in the store.

I got a

mini lathes with all the parts in it in a box.
electric nail gun
drill bit sharpener
manual nail staple gun
a jig saw
a knife sharpener
a nice electric hand sander all this for 10.00

I got a

propane torch with 9 heads that go with it and a spark tool to light it in a nice metal box for 10.00

I got a few small tools for a few more dollars but wow what a deal on all of these tools.

I am so excited to get started on new wood projects with the help of the tools I got at the sale.

Just thought I would share the great blessing I got from the Lord. Thanks much Jeff M.

Great find.
Opportunities like that don’t come around too often.
It’s too bad that someone had to die, but I guess that’s life.
Same thing happened to me a couple of months ago when I got my Unisaw.
The family just wanted everything gone and didn’t really know the value of everything.

Sounds like you hit a bananza. Looks like you could have worked out something for the whole kit and kabootle.

I wound-up in a spot like that about a year ago. Bought $250-300 worth of really nice, high-end handsaws along with some other stuff for $50. The guy was selling a ton of other great hand tools too, but I didn’t bring enough cash with me to fully capitalize on the situation.

Yes it comes in a blue metal box and has two soder heads to it and 5-6 torch heads and a striker to start the flame. Not sure how to use the tips yet I havn’t got a chance to monkey with it yet. What have you done with your propane torch kit ??? Later Ritty.
