I’m new here. I am trying to refinish some old tools that have wood parts. An old Plane and an old level,. Lets assume the wood work on the pieces lack any finish. I have some boiled linseed oil and come shaker clear polyurethane gloss min-wax spray.

I’m wondering if the linseed oil and the poly spray serve the same purpose or if I should use combination of the two.

Thanks!

One or the other, but not together… or either after the other. Got that ? ;=)

cool thanks. That was my question: is it appropriate to soak on some linseed oil before spraying on some polyurethane.

Thanks DG!~
