I live in the New Orleans area and I am trying to find some resources for hard wood that is not SO DAMN EXPENSIVE

Acadian? Riverside? I don’t shop in NOLA but I’ve heard about those 2 many times. Think there is a place in Hammond as well.

In BR service lumber (meh) and Brazos Forrest products (awesome)

Riverside has decent selection but the black walnut I tried getting, the owner flaked on me so fridge saved the day with a place up near BR – plus it was cheaper
