I’ve been heading down the road of buying a table saw for 3 months which I suspended when we decided to buy a new house. Now that we are moved in, I was ready to pull the trigger. I was planning to use the 10% coupon on the G0715P, but decided to go for the saw I really wanted – the G0690. I placed the order this afternoon! I need to go up in the attic this weekend and see how hard it will be to run the new electrical circuit. I need to plan out some additional lighting and some other 110 outlets also.

Mark – I doubt you will ever regret the decision to buy the more substantial saw. Set it up well, put a good blade on it, and enjoy!

Please followup with some pics when all is said and done!

Welcome to the G690 Club!

IMO, it is always best to buy one or two models higher than the base line of any product. Not trying to sound elitist, but there usually is a reason EVERY manufacturer has a cheaper ”price leader” no matter what the product is (and that reason is usually not best-quality or best bang-for-the-buck).

BTW, I love my Grizzly G0690!

I think I posted in a previous thread that I had sold most of my tools in 2007 when we moved to California, so I’m starting from scratch. I picked up a Hitachi C12RSH sliding 12” miter a month back and the G690 and Triton router this week. I still have some smaller things like clamps, squares, jig saw, cordless circular saw, etc that was small enough to keep during “the purge”. My need and want list is long and my funds are now tapped out for a while.

My wife’s income helps support my hobbies, so I have to love her more :)

Fedex showed up with a truck without a lift-gate. Somewhere a mistake was made as I paid for this service in my grizzly order. Fedex has to work it out and deliver another day :(
