I entered my Thorsen Dining Table in the General Finishes 2018 Design Challenge in the Woodworking / Tables & Desks category. There is some very nice work entered. The prizes are pretty nice this year including a Fuji sprayer for the top prize winner! The other prizes are pretty nice as well, including cases of GF products, and who can't use more Arm-R-Seal? Winners will be announced September 3rd.
I'm hoping to place, more for the bragging rights than the prizes, but most importantly to use as leverage when my wife complains I spend too much time in the shop!
Your table looks great. There were some other nice ones, but nothing on the scale of what you built. I guess we don't get a vote but I'm sure you should do well. How is the work on the chairs coming along?
It will depend on if they are judging table separately from the other Woodworking categories. There is some nice work in there. That mahogany server is spectacular.
Chair progress has been slow over the summer with business travel and vacations. But they should be completed in Time to enter in next years contest!
congrats tung,i still think you should have gotten first place,no less than second though, having done g & g i know very well what went into your table.i think what got first place was due to the unique design that gave him the edge.once again well done my friend.
