Topic tags/keywords: project pictures

I’ve been trying to add a new project but the site isn’t uploading my pictures. I press the “Upload” button, select a file, and then click “Upload to web site”. It spins for a bit and then nothing happens. I don’t get the preview pic like usual.

I only see “Insert this image” (which works) and “Post this reply” (also working). I’m sure it varies a bit for project vs. posts, but pics do work for me here. Sorry, guess that’s no help.

EDIT: Went to Add a Project, that worked just fine for me as well…

I load most photos with the img button since there is no limit

If all of the pictures are embedded in the project description what will the project picture be (the one you see when browsing projects)?

I doubt it Chuck. The Picture has to be downloaded on it’s own. You’ll have to Cut the Picture out save it as a Picture only. Then click “image (img)” as above, then “Choose File” then “Insert this image”. That should Load it into your Post.

Never thought of that. I use the pulse page to browse topics only.

This is what I am referring to. In the screen shot below I tried to attach an image but it’s not showing up in “Picture Gallery” section like it normally does.

If I try to create a project without at least 1 picture I get:

1 error prohibited this project from being saved
There were problems with the following fields:
Project must have at least one picture

Try loading a picture of kittens. No way it would turn down kittens.

Most likely the size of the picture file is the reason…

Test it with some small (in bytes) image with .jpg extension
The small icon of the picture should appear above these buttons.
You will also have the option to remove the picture

The files are small, around 555KB.

I’ve created projects before so I’m familiar with the steps. This is confusing.

I tried posting the same project with my Mac Book Pro and it worked. Strange.
