Topic tags/keywords: grizzly flapsander flap sander woodtek woodtek flapsander woodtek flap sander aline-it

I am currently looking for a Woodtek flap sander owner to test a product I recently invented and have a patent pending on to align the brushes and flaps prior to reassembly of the flap sander head. It was built and designed for the Grizzly model and the Woodtek model looks nearly identical however I wanted to make sure. PM me if you are interested.

Thanks,
Ron

I had been interested in buying a Grizzly flap sander for use in sanding my sculpted boxes but like many others, after reading the negative reviews about replacing the paper and flaps I decided against it. I don’t need any aggrivating and annoying processes in my work.
I will be eagerly looking to see if you come up with a solution and if so i will most certainly buy one.
Good Luck!

Greg,
BUY THE SANDER!!! It does really work well but up till now yes changing the brushes and paper was next to impossible. I actually have the Grizzly jig worked out and ready for sale. So as soon as you are ready just yell:)

I’d love to see a picture. I’ve purchased flap sanders on occasion but usually avoid them due to price. This would probably be a hit.

Al here’s a a little info in another LJ post I posted a long time ago. Funny thing is I approached Grizzly late last year and they wanted nothing to do with it… I will try again in the next month or so.

I too had been interested in buying a Grizzly flap sander. Instead Going to use an old Delta Home Craft buffer. Next I plan on getting the Grizzly flap sander assembly and drum.

Hopefully when you get around to getting the sander head it will come with my alignment gizmo:)

On another note I am probably going to cancel the search for the Woodtek owner. While in Vegas at the AWFS show on Friday I was able to introduce myself to a couple people for Woodworkers source so it looks as though I may be working directly with them on the Flap Sander:)

Hi RJones,

I work in the marketing department at Woodworker’s Supply, manufacturer of the Woodtek line of machinery. I’m glad you were able to connect with some of our staff at AWFS. If you are having trouble getting in touch with the right person here, please get in touch with me directly and I’ll make the introduction.
