Hi folks- my daughter is getting married Next September 2012- and they would like to honeymoon near West Yellowstone. I was wondering if any of you who live there know of places to stay- cabins or whatever? I figured I could ask a local to get a good recommendation.

Hi Kelly…

Don’t know anything about Yellowstone…

Just curious…

Have not heard anything from David… Have you? What’s up?

Thank you…

He made it to Maryanne’s and is doing some work there. That’s the last I heard. :)

Very good!

Did he publish pictures of what he did at his brother’s place? If so, I missed it.

Thank you.

I have never stayed in West Yellowstone, but here are a few places you could try.

This one wasn’t bad last time I was there a couple years ago. It’s in Bozeman Montana (about 90 miles away from West Yellowstone, which is only about an hour and a half out here)

Hope this helps you out.

Kelly,
Will your daughter be taking that compressor with her on her honeymoon??
I think it would make a fine gift from you ;-)

Kelly
Most of Yellowstone is in Wyoming with alittle part of it in Montana. I was stationed in Great Falls Montana with the military for 8 years. There is lots of good things and 1 bad thing about it now. The bad thing is most of the forrest service is gone and alot of unruly people go there to party sometimes, however, camp can be moved and the sights are way beyound beautiful.

Congratulations on your daughter’s upcoming wedding. Wonderful area, but have not been there in twenty some years.

Kelly gal, how are coming with all of that bartering for the things that you will need for the wedding. I might could make you some special chip carved plaques if you needed something like that. I wouldn’t charge anything for it. I can use the practice. These plaques are piling up anyways.

Charles- You are so kind to offer. As you know, I will always take anything anybody wants to send. LOL David can tell you I can find plenty of uses for a lot of stuff. (Much to his chagrin I think>?) You know, I had a thought- I bet those chip carved plaque things would make nice centerpiece stands. Send me a pic if you want. I haven’t seen any of your carving yet. I am on line very infrequently these days- and the dog broke my good laptop – knocked it over from the place I left it yesterday-(my stupidity) so now I am using this ancient desktop that is also on it’s last legs.

I am getting caught up on my end of the trades- and I got a lot of nice things for her by trading. Now I have started making some of the bigger stuff like signs and chalkboards and things to use for the wedding. Will store them in the spare bedroom with the other stuff. Of course will have to pay the caterer, the liquor bill, the tent rentals, music etc. But traded for nearly all the other stuff- including her hair/makeup for wedding day. Am working on trapping the photographer into a partial trade.. hehehe.. not sure if that will work- but worth a try. :)

It is so hot here I could die 97 degrees and a million percent humidity- no A/C at my house. Even the follicles on my forearms are pouring out sweat. Can’t even move- it’s really really gross. But better than snow and ice that’s for sure.
