Grizzly G1023SLWX Replacement Arbor

I have a big problem and thought I would put it out there to see if anyone has any ideas. Last night, while working on my saw, the left side arbor bearing decided to self distruct. In the process the arbor was damaged and I need a replacement. I was able to find the bearing locally but the arbor is back-ordered through grizzly until Aug 30th. At this point I can’t be without my saw until then.

Are there any other arbors that I could use in place for the Grizzly one that would work? I do production work and have a large order I need to complete but can’t do it without a table saw. The model is the Grizzly G1023RLWX 5HP 3 phase saw. I’m not sure if Shop Fox or someone elses arbor might work?

Could a local machine shop true up/rebuild the arbor you have? I’ve seen these guys do amazing stuff, it may be worth a few phone calls.

Isn’t the saw still under warranty?

I thought I would update this post with what I ended up doing. First off I had put the model as the RLWX and it is in fact an SLWX. It was nothing more then a typo and I had given Grizzly the correct model when I ordered the replacement arbor.

Well I started to call around to machine shops and got some estimates and none were inexpensive but at least an option to allow me to finish the order I was working on. I thought that I would give Grizzly a call back to see if there was any other options that they could think of instead of just waiting until the end of August. To my suprise the rep on the phone said he would look around and see if he could locate the part for me. I got a call back that afternoon and he had located the arbor and would ship it out that afternoon. I had the arbor in my hand two days later and my saw is back up and running.

It seems Grizzly has recieved some complaints regarding their customer service as of late. I had the opposite experience. It might be the fact that I have an older model saw but the rep was very responsive and went out of his way to help me. This experience is going to keep me coming back to Grizzly. I will say that I am not comfortable buying their newest just released tools. I like to buy their tools that have been around for a while. Their tools work well for me, hold up well, and their service has always been outstanding for me.
