Sorry I haven’t been logged on for awhile as I suffered a stroke. It has left me with weakness and numbness on my entire left side. The doctors tell me that I cannot drive or do any activity including going out to the workshop.
I will be going through a series of Physical Therapy sessions starting this week. I was put on Cumadin and will be taking it for the rest of my life. I need to take it slow and nurse myself back to health.

Hi Michael ~ Well, you know how there are ‘arm chair quarterbacks”? You can be the arm chair LumberJock. At least you got your birdhouse finished. Best of luck with your recovery.

Saddened to hear of your medical malfunction. But, my wife is a rehab nurse and she tells me, everyday, of the almost miraculous recovery of stroke patients. Hang in there, keep positive thoughts and I’m betting you’ll be back in the shop very soon.

This getting old stuff sure isn’t for wimps.

The best sign of all is that you can come here and post. Good luck and hope the recovery goes smoothly.

Well you could always spend your time lurking around lumberjocks. Offer advice when you can. Offer up humor. That part will iritate some, don’t let it worry you. That’s what I do when I’m down and can’t get into the shop.
I can’t walk today so I’ve been on Lumberjocks probably a total of about six hours since four this morning. That was in between watching moves online or lying down.
