I recently refinished an old old desk for someone, put a new lock in center drawer but owner keeps forgetting to lock it and has had some items go missing. He asked me if I could find him a lock that will latch when he closes drawer, I’ve searched a lot of places with no luck. Surely such a lock exists. Anyone seen something like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I buy from Kenstan (I have an account) , but I found this on ebay after google searching snap bolt lock.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/332594238972

You can go to Kenstan and look around to see the different options for this lock,
such as barrel length, key type, metal finish, etc etc. I’m not sure if you can buy from them directly or not.

I had this problem with a salesperson taking tools from my toolbox. Slamming the drawer shut on those hands fixed it.

LOL

And when they found the body out back it went a warning to the rest of them :)
