Just got back from 2 weeks vacation to PA and on my way back got to stop again at Leath’s Bar-B-Que in Hattiesberg Miss. The food at this place is great. The only problem with it is how hard it is to find the place. It is at exit 65 (US98) on I59. Go 4mi west from I59 and you will see a used car lot on your left. If you look close you will see a red square sign with Leath’s on it. The building is really behind some now green buildings you can see from the road. Looks like an old country church in a gravel lot. They have the best fall off the bone pork ribs that you can get. Great slaw and Bush’s origoinal beans as well as other sides. They also have beef ribs, pulled pork and chicken. The sauce is a sweet tomato based type. For those on the east coast, too bad, no viniger type here. We stop there whenever we are in the area and know that they are open(close Sun,& Mon. Open till 9PM). Leath is an almost as wide as she is tall black lady who appears to run this business with an iron hand and the floor and walls sway and shake when she stomps her way around the room. Most of the chirs don’t match and it really isn’t all that cheap, but it sure is good. I have no connection with them, but I sure like there food.

I LOVE BBQ. Here in Central Texas we have many of the best in the country. Snow’s in Lexington, Kruetz-Smitty’s-Black;s in Lockhart, Salt Lick in Round Rock and Driftwood, and one not many poeple know about, Bone’s OUtlaw BBQ in Killeen. Good BBQ makes one just feel good! :-)
