.....gotten as sun burned, dehydrated (possibly from beer), sore from “tubing”, and fat (from eating…..and drinking too much) as I did over the 4th of July weekend?????

I need to make something out of wood that will put aloe on my back, feed me water, stretch my muscles, and make me burn calories…...any suggestions?????

Make a tooth pick from a locust log. That should take care of most of what ails you ;^)

Unless you are a masochist, I highly suggest NOT running the planer, jointer, or router for a few days…

I suggest you do some resawing with a handsaw.

Spend a few hours planing some rough lumber into finished boards. You need to work up a good sweat.

Well I don’t know what you can build, but I can tell you this- a week working with Patron has a similar effect. I am whooped. :) And now I need to get myself scraped back together and go build a bench to fill an order. Probably won’t be today.

well its only 80 degrees here in Iowa, but the heat index has to have it close to 100. Just standing outside is enough to sweat most of it out!!

Split some firewood by hand. That will bring a body back into shape! Do it in the shade or before sunrise!

You have beer, food, water and a tube. Worry about the rest in winter. Enjoy.

You can come visit us here in Wisconsin. Just get yourself a canoe (or kayak), and start paddling upstream. By the time you get to La Crosse, you’ll think your 4th of July weekend indulgences were just a warmup!

BTW … I know a chirpractor in Davenport that might be able to help you with those aches and pains.

I for one am right there with you. The entire week of the 4th my family and I spent in beautiful San Diego… Doing nothing but eating, swimming, sight seeing, and trying all kinds of new beers I can’t find here in Texas. I know I came home 10 pounds heavier and flat out exhausted….lol.

Tomorrow will be a week back and I still don’t feel back to normal…. I will have to debate getting back in the gym over a few brews tonight….lol

At least I did the sensible thing over the 4th of July weekend in Fort Myers, FL, we stayed out of the water and drove around looking for Tree Service company yards and scrambled through their wood piles. I scored on some Rosewood, Eucalyptus, Banyan and Grapefruit. The van was loaded on trip back home and the Eucalyptus had sort of an unpleasant odor that we had to smell for a few days.
