I noticed long ago that each project page has a number of time the project was favorited at the top. I just noticed today that you can click on it and see the list of lumberjocks that did the favoriting (making up words here). I was surprised to see that the comments are also listed there. I always thought these were private comments that were notes to yourself when you favorited a project. Ironically, when I went to my own project favorites, I didn’t see the comments anywhere. They seem to have disappeared. So, it seems like the comments are now more about telling everyone else why you made something a favorite, instead of telling yourself why you made something a favorite. -- Disappointment is an empty box full of expectation. |

You have to click on “My Favorite” in the navigation bar to see what your comments were on a particular project. -- Charlie M. "Woodworking - patience = firewood" |

jsheaney is correct in that everyone can see the comments you made, so be nice! You can check by clicking on the one above. I checked a few others and this has been going on for quite a while too. The thing is, most people don’t put comments there if the title or picture tells them what it is. -- Wish I were Norm's Nephew |

I think that is strange behavior. I know that the comments I have added a project that marked as a favorite are notes to myself about what I like, didn’t like or what I would do differently. I don’t really see the benefit of exposing those comments to the general public. That’s what the comment section of the project is for. -- Disappointment is an empty box full of expectation. |

This is news to me, JSheaney. I’ve been using it like you. Luckily, I’m really lazy and I usually only jot down a word or two. I thought the comments were for personal indexing. I never imagined they’d to to the author of the project. I better go check that I havn’t written anything nasty. -- My dad and I built a 65 chev pick up.I killed trannys in that thing for some reason-Hog |

I just wish you could organize your favorites into catagories so you could find that “favorite” you saved way back when…..... -- mike............... |

Thanks for pointing to this. Favorite notes should not visible to others.. my fault. And yes notes are missing on the favorites listings since the last favorites design update. I will work on these two things asap. |

That would be good, Martin. Thanks for all of your hard work. -- helluvawreck aka Charles, http://woodworkingexpo.wordpress.com |

I agree (and so does Martin) that your personal comments on your favorites should not be visible to others. But the comments you made on a favorited project are still visible to you by following the instructions I posted above. I did think it was an odd way to get to them, though. -- Charlie M. Charlie, your instructions do not work for me. Either you mean that it used to work that way (and will again), which I think is true, or I just don’t understand what you mean by the “navigation bar”. -- Disappointment is an empty box full of expectation. |

So there was a note from Martin in the comments that said this was indeed a mistake and that it would be fixed, but I’m still seeing the same behavior. Did this fall through the cracks? -- Disappointment is an empty box full of expectation. |
