Topic tags/keywords: question tip resource

All, and almighty mods,, Might I suggest creating a forum for Lasering. “Lasering? you say.” this is a wood based forum.
And I wholehardidly agree.
I will counter that agreement with Sawmillcreek. lasers / engravers forum

They have a some what popular laser/ engraving forum on their site. It has its ups and downs.
I think creating a engraving forum (the lasering can fit inside if need be.) Might just be worth while.
heck what could it hurt. create the forum… sit back eat popcorn…

if in a few months its dead? “DEL ” key.

I know I’d be among the first to post in it.

-Sam.

@ Mods Thanks! Fantastic. Thanks for the add. Hopefully it proves to full of engraving / laser stuff thats useful to others.

@John Smith: I own 2 lasers both of them are the china type. 1 is an eBay special little 40w desktop looking machine. the other is a larger 60w laser that I have modded the heck out of. its now a 90w and can cut thru 3/4 acrylic like butter. not to mention engrave the heck outta lots of other stuff. For wood related things I typically find my self here.
For lasering I find myself over at SMC site. its up and down. I haven’t had any probs but it seems to be getting slower and slower. plenty of good people just the same. but Here? I think it could take off. and with Lasers getting cheaper and cheaper? as a Kid I always dreamed of having one. never though I would… Now I have several its a great tool to have. -Ill post up some pics soon. -S
