This is my first post. I’m hoping I can get advice here since I can’t seem to find it anywhere else.
I’m in The process of finishing the bar top for my tiki bar. So far, I put a seal coat of epoxy and one flood coat. The issue I’m having is that there is a bout 1/2 of an inch of an inset in between the railings. The railings are not perfectly even so the epoxy is level in some parts but is lower in other parts. I read that I could put a damn made with aluminum tape so the epoxy will self level into the shallow areas.

Is this true?

And if so, can someone explain to me step by step on how to do so? A lot of time and effort went into building the bar and I don’t want to make any mistakes with finishing the bar top.
I appreciate any help.
