Topic tags/keywords: question planer traditional who made machine where to get parts

I have an old surface planer I picked up off craigslist for 50 bucks it has three blades and is all cast iron. I know it’s a great old machine but I need some parts the problem is I don’t know who made the machine. Could any of you old timers or wise men give me any help at all in identifying at all the below:

I really need this machine to run any help is greatly appreciated thanks guys or girls god bless America and Happy and safe fourth of July!!! :)

My guess is it is a Makita. They sold them mostly as the 2030 which was a combination machine with a jointer slung on the side.

Google “Makita 2030” and see if the basic castings look the same. You have to wade through some handheld planers and the lunchbox type too.
