If any of the LJ’s get Better homes and Gardens WOOD magazine—be sure to read the article on page 66 about Chuck Issaccson. He was a helicopter pilot serving his 8th tour in Afganistan. His helicopter crashed and he survived. The article tells about how he was paralized and set up a woodworking shop designed for a wheelchair. He went to a Grizzly store and when they heard about him they gave him the $1000.00 worth of tools he went there for. IIt is a great story about our service men and women and how to accomplish something if one wants to do it.
Now for all the bad publicity that Grizzly has received from this group of woodworkers I as a member want to say hats off and a big THANKYOU !!!! for stepping up for someone who gave so much.

I just want to know why he isn’t a Lumberjock. Chuck is only half way there until he joins us. Hey Chuck, this is an invitation to join us on Lumberjocks. We have a lot of wheelchair woodworkers here and would love to add you to our roster. Rand

Just read the article tonight, and I too was struck by the gesture of the Grizz manager and also pleased Chuck and Brenda were given a new home (not that material things can make up for the sacrifices of these men&women and their families, but it’s the principle of the thing). I am glad Chuck is able to continue woodworking and would love to see him on LJ.
