Topic tags/keywords: question router table shop

My router table is approximately 27” wide (by 40” long to accommodate an Incra positioner). I’d like to add removable extension leaves on the infeed and outfeed sides and am wondering about the best mechanism to do this. The edges of the table are 1.5” solid wood, 2” wide, to give you an idea of what is available for mounting to.

I’d like to be able to add and remove them easily, and preferably not have them hang down when not in use (since the infeed leaf hanging down would get in the way of accessing the router door and compartment). Any ideas?

Just a rough idea

. probably need a support leg depending on the length of your extensions.

Have your say...
