This is something I could get into. I have wanting to learn the Art of Building beautiful Guitars for a number of years now. It is near the top pf my bucket list, but if I make the mistake of letting my wife know that I am even thinking about spending any more money in woodworking classes, it could get scary. I’ll tell you what it is really tough sleeping with one eye open. No all kidding aside she has been good about letting me expand my horizons, over the past 20 + years we have been married.
I am going to check out this web site, you have a great opening page that grabbed my attention to the point that have it bookmarked.

That’s a hell of a lot of video for $167. If I wanted to make guitars, I would definitely pay that just to not have to look around for all the info.

I have a friend who went to school for that. I never asked what it cost but it was an exclusive place and I’m sure it was a lot. He was lucky enough to be picked among all the applications to be one of the 15 in his class. An extra requirement for the class was that you not set up shop in the area putting you in direct competition with the instructors. I think they accomplished this by only selecting people from outside the city.

I’ve wanted to build guitars since high school 25 years ago…I’ve had Jim Williams text on the subject since that time. Once I actually get to use my shop on things like this, I’ll definitely want to checkout these videos. The value would be all the little things that O’Brien addresses that likely wouldnt be in a book…and there’s something to be said for a one-stop resource on it. He’d be more likely to address the mistakes before I make them.
