Topic tags/keywords: models cars trucks

Hey guys, I am wanting to get into building model cars and trucks etc. Do you know of a good website where i can purchase plans and download them. I really don’t want to purchase the plans and have them mailed to me. Mail where I live really sucks. Thanks in advance for your help.

That leaves out one of the best suppliers- Toys and Joys. Although I wished I could have downloaded plans from them, I’m guessing that mailing their plans gives them better control over distribution.

It also leaves out Gatto Plan Supply because they do the same thing. Probably for the same reason.

I’d bet Aschi’s does the same thing, but I couldn’t tell from their website.

There may be others, but I don’t know if you can download plans…

have you ordered plans through Toys and Joys? How long did it take to get your plans through the mail. Looks like I have no choice but to have them mailed to me.

Check out Dutchy's plans,
These are a little more advanced.

Also check out Woodmagazines plans.
more for toys and kids but a great place to get started.

And check out the bottom of my comment for model tips and how to blogs.

There’s even a blog about making your own plans.

I’ve only ordered one plan from Toys and Joys, but I’ve drooled over them for years…

It only took a week or so for the Bulldozer plans to get to me. Full size, and decent. Can’t wait to get started. But gotta finish my 9 model Ts. On the LAST one after a year and a half. Whew!

Anyway, here’s another place to check:
Loyds Wood Toy Plans.

I had to chuckle at the term “adult models”. Just don’t let your wife catch you. ;-)

Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

That’s one great start to a fine finish!!!
It really is nice to be able to pick a project, pay for the plans and start on it that hour.

Is that a chrome shift nob I’m spying? :-]
