John, In my experience they are a scam. I subscribed, the first magazine was junk, I was bombarded with emails trying to sell JUNK, and the final insult; if i PAID for 15 years subscription in ADVANCE, they would GIVE me a lifetime subscription for FREE. I am not making this up. When I refused their kind offer they called several times trying to get me to change my mind. I had to threaten to complain to the state Attorney General to get them to leave me alone. DO NOT GET SUCKED IN. It is garbage. Once again, I am not making this up. It’s just a lousy magazine with a useless twist. Wood, Popular WWing, American Woodworker, FineWWing, Shopnotes, Workbench, WWing Journal….all better choices IMHO. -- Happiness is like wetting your pants...everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.... |

I have about 5 of their free drill guides and notepads, and have given away about 5 more. The only “club” I would join is my local guild. |

I can’t believe it is still around. I fell for the scam when I first started woodworking. -- Barbara |

Hard to shake, ain’t it, Barbara? I saw a sticker on a brand new F350 single-cab non-dually the other day. The irony hurt me. -- My dad and I built a 65 chev pick up.I killed trannys in that thing for some reason-Hog |

If I recall I received the same junk mail and then a DVD that I threw away, afterwhich I received emails requesting optional payment for. My guess is that one of the large online woodworking retailers sold my info. |

My ex signed me up. I never paid ‘em anything, ‘coarse with my ex there’s no telling. Like Schoey, I got some drill guides and note pads. They did send me this funky 25’ tape measure with a built in line laser. Useless. The drill guides have come in handy. My opinion about the outfit, they’re ‘bout as useless as tits on a boar hog. -- Darrell, making more sawdust than I know what to do with |
