I want to post a short video, preferably in my blog about spoke wheels, but I don’t know how to do it.

I don’t prefere to make a link to YouTube.

Who can help me?

You could use vimeo, Facebook, your own website, or a file hosting site. YouTube would be easiest and simplest.

Thanks, but what to do if it is on Youtube. How to post it at LJ. Maybe not a smart question but I realy can’t find how to make a video link to the video tab in LJ.

The current youtube embed codes won’t work with LJ and Verticalscope can’t or won’t update but you can use the website below which creates the old embed codes. You have to use the full url from the address bar, not the abbreviated url from the share button. To show up in the video tab, add the keyword video when you create the post.

This works

This doesn’t

If you have it posted on youtube, right click on the address line, select cut. You can right click and paste it into your posting, OR click on the , and paste it there.

Dutchy, Have you uploaded to YouTube and published it?

If you have, play the video and cut and paste the URL address from your browser… Then use the above link button to tie it all up…. for example,
Drum sander paper cutting jig 22-44

I appreciate all the combined cooperation, talent and willingness to help another LJ accomplish a computerized task when his knowledge base is not sufficient. All these guys willing to share their knowledge is what this LJ site is all about. Wonderful display gentlemen. I thank you for me and Dutchy.
