Topic tags/keywords: resource tip question trick Hello all! Looking to try again at an Arizona Picnic/get together. Did not have much turn out for the last one. We were at the Kiwanis park in Tempe and we were a little hard to find. Looking to have this get together on June 25th. Let me know if this works. Sorry only 2 weeks away. Please drop a line here or PM me if interested. I will keep you all informed on the Woodcraft status. Hope to here from you soon. P.S. Posting this here because we will be trading idea’s and learning new skills from each other. -- Scrap Wood's the best...the projects are smaller, and so is the mess! |

I hope that ya’ll have a good get together. Have fun. -- If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away. Henry David Thoreau |

What’s the point of this get together? Tool swap, wood swap or just a balony sandwich? I see trading ideas and learning skills, I guess I need to read the whole post first. |

Just a get together to share ideas and meet everyone. I am sure if you bring along tools or wood to swap some one will trade with you. I just got off the phone with WoodCraft. June the 25th is a good date! Figure about 11PM to 2 or 3PM Still need to check into a sub. If I can get one will you all agree to chip in on the cost? Will have more info on that later. Let me know what you think. Scrappy -- Scrap Wood's the best...the projects are smaller, and so is the mess! |

I can’t make a true commit so please don’t count on me for a portion of the food but I’ll try to make it. If anyone’s interested in making some cabinets I can bring some cabinet making stuff I no longer need. mousejockey |

MouseJockey, Hope you can make it. I would love to turn a column for you but…...I only have a Jet 12×20 lathe. Not big enough for a 36inch long turn. Sorry. Feel free to bring what ever tools you might want to trade or sell. I am sure that would be fine with WoodCraft. I don’t think a wood swap would be a good idea unless we keep it discrete (out in the parking lot) WoodCraft does have wood for sale and I don’t want to cause trouble that way. (they don’t sell used tools though) Does any one else have anything to bring and trade? Maybe even a finished project or 2? Look forward to seeing every one.
