I’ve upgraded the equipment in my L.A. county shop and have
a couple of nice vintage table saws capable of great precision.

Saw A) an American style saw from the 1940s with a 3/4” arbor,
12” blade capacity and an Incra Ultra rip fence.

Saw B) is a specialized crosscutting saw for the printing industry. Called
a linotype saw or printer’s trimmer – it makes the most amazing dead-square
crosscuts and has a super-cool detented micro-adjustable stop.

If you’re getting started making furniture or guitars, these two saws
will solve many of your problems.

Just $300 for the pair. I need the space more than I need to collect
old machinery.

Located in Whittier, CA. I’d be happy to talk woodworking with
some local jocks – and I’ve got other interesting tools and insights so
it may be worth your while to come up even if just curious.

I’m not local but I’m curious Loren! Linotype huh? Saw must be 3 phase? Those sound like wonderful tools. Photos?

I blogged about the Linotype saw here on LJ:

Some of them are 3-phase and even have 3-phase motors
that integrate the motor casting with the machine, but mine isn’t.
