Topic tags/keywords: tool cabinet planes woodworking

I just had to post this, it’s a pic of a tool cabinet from a good friend of mine on another woodworking site that I was part of first. The pic made it into an issue of wood mag if you have the issue you know who I’m talking about the guys name is (Smitty). This is one of his many wood projects it just happens to be my favorite I’ll never forget it either. I just want to share, please if you have something cool that sticks out in your mind from your first days of woodworking please either post a pic or write an explanation? KEEP IT WOODWORKING PLEASE!

Nice…..Seems to be keen on planes for some inexplicable reason, too.
There is one thing I’ve never grasped about this method of plane storage: to me they appear upside down, and I would have them so that the hand grabs the tote first not the knob. I have never dropped a plane that has a tote and knob-go figure…..

Have your say...
