I recently received a plane from my grandmother that my grandfather owned. I need help to identify it. Its probably a old cheapo but that is ok because it was his and this is a sentimental item. I’m not looking to sell, just to identify, fix up and use. The back of the plane says made in the usa and under the blade it says 3. I don’t see a manufacture’s name or mark, but I wasn’t sure where to look.

Any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
Jeremy

It looks similar to a Stanley 103/110. Lots of manufactures made planes of this type. Try this link

http://www.supertool.com/stanleybg/stan12.htm

Also similar to this keen kutter

hmmm – I will go with Parplus

Your welcome. You might try cleaning up the plane blade some and see if it is marked. Also, measurements of the length and width of the plane would be useful to you in your search.
