Edit (for another 56 minutes)

Hello new to this, so please bare w/me. I was interested in upgrading my table saw fence w/a vega fence. I don’t have a whole lot of space in my garage, so i had to go w/the craftsman professional 15 amp 10” portable table saw. I was just hoping that somebody might have some input if the vega system would be able to be mounted on this saw. Currently the two rails that the fence slides on hold the two adjustable/sliding table tops on each side of the saw(I hope that makes sense). If i have to get rid of the rails in order to install the vega fence, then I think I loose both table tops.? Anyways, this is the hope that someone might have some input. Any info is greatly appreciated.

This is the fence that I use. It has served me very well. The only complaint I have is that the micro adjustment lock sometimes slips. Probably just an adjustment but I haven’t gotten around to fixing it.

You are going to want to be real careful about buying a third party fence. Looking at some pictures of that table saw it appears to have a very unusual design where the wings ride on the fence instead of being permanently attached to the central table.

I do not know how those wings are attaching to the fence, but I doubt if a third party is going to have appropriate support. You may be stuck with the original fence.

I think you’ll have a tough time finding a fence upgrade to fit that particular saw, which is the same as the Ryobi BT-3100. Most aftermarket fences are intended to fit a full size cast iron or granite top saw that’s ~ 27” deep. You could try asking on, a website dedicated to those saws. FWIW, most owners like the stock fence.

Thanks everyone for the info and quick responses. I didn’t think i was going to get much, because of the saw that I have. At least this way I know what to expect.

Lew, do you have the same saw as I do?

Have your say...
