Just curious what type of wood veneer is on this dresser? It’s banged up and I’m going to strip it down and refinish it, wasn’t 100% sure what I’m working with.

Some one may disagree with me but I think we can rule out Alder.

I would guess one of the cheaper mahogany’s or alder. Teak and walnut are too expensive for that cheap dresser.

It is ugly but check the drawer fronts, continuous grain, just out of order.
