Topic tags/keywords: question

Some forums have “Normite” spaces and “Neanderthal” spaces. Noticing that most forums here are based around “Normites”, how about a space for us knuckle draggers to call our own? It seems that Bertha’s handplane of your dreams post has basically turned into that, why not go ahead and give us out own forum?

I really forget that there are forums. I read everything mainly from the RSS feed and it all just comes out the same. Something grabs me, and I follow up with all the comments. Sometimes I am surprised and follow something that I would not have clicked on as a forum topic.

If I got this right, a Normite is a power tool user, and a Neanderthal /knuckle dragger is a hand tool user. Since I tend to use both what’s that make me? Furthering my education here so be kind. I am interested in hand tools and learning more than what I think I know. I do like using both depending on the project, or one or the other.

Yeah, my handplane forum is where the primitives congregate. There was an off-topic neanderthalish thread started by Stumpy Nubs. It was shut-down for off-topicness and all manner of bad behavior ensued. This can be the spot if you choose it to be!

GregN, simple test:

Did you feel anything? A smile? Butterflies? If so, you’re a knuckle-dragger.

Now try this:

Same rules. ;)

If Normite=”tailed tools” and Neanderthal = “unpluged”
Then combination = Normanderthal
Else combination = Neamerite

Al, I couldn’t stop drooling at the hand tools, in fact it is now my desk top picture along with the many others I use.
Thanks KS, I guess that makes me a Neamerite for the time being.

Took Bertha’s test and the first picture just made my hands tired. Now the second picture is almost like a pin-up girl. I may just have to print it and hang it in my cubicle at work. LOL Guess I know what category I belong to.

Thanks Al !!!!

I’m a handtool guy and would never buy one, but even I think that PM2000 is sexy, but the PM2066 is a new level sexy.

As an aside I would love to have a PM 18” bandsaw for resawing, mmmmm.

August, I suspected I loved you; now I’m certain of it. You made my night, you metal half-breed:) LOL so hard; I don’t have the stones to post actual pictures of SS tech. I tip my hat, Al.

August, look at that black laquer cabinet, crisp logo, shiny wheel, you know you want one ;)

Imagine what it’d look like next to your Sheldon; women would flock; and you’d be the safest guy on your block; wait, you’ve got 3-phase….you’d DEFINITELY be the safest guy on your block :)
